Larry Fitzgerald, a professional football player for the Arizona Cardinals, established the Larry Fitzgerald First Down Fund. The fund donates helmets for youth football programs in Minneapolis. The fund also provided funding for a sustainable irrigation system and tree planting in Ethiopia. Having lost his mother to cancer, in 2011, he donated $10,000 for every touchdown in October, to cancer research. He also donated $1,000 for every catch and 10 cents for every new Twitter follower.
